Reversible Card
Is there a way to reuse greeting cards so that there would be less of an environmental impact? And perhaps also make the cards more personal and customisable in the process?
7 billion greeting cards are purchased every year in the US alone. You can get approximately 121444 A4 sheets from one tree.
Let’s say you could get two cards from an A4. This would mean that in the US, 28 819 trees are cut annually, only for greeting cards.
The idea is to make a card that can be customised by changing the pattern/image on the front. This way you always have cards handy, and there are no wasted occasional cards.
Also the idea is that you can reuse each card you receive, simply by changing the image and message and sending it forward.
We wanted the design to be as minimal and flexible as possible, so the cards are white only with a laser die cut base pattern. This leaves the design of each card very customisable and personal.
