This identity and logotype is based on the idea of negative space, and that of the whole being more than the sum of its parts.

In architecture the negative space is what holds the content. It is the space in-between walls that matters, sometimes more so than the wall itself. When this idea is implemented into typography; the negative space builds the lettering.
